Not all breathwork trainings are equal and here's what I want you to know
If you have been feeling the pull toward breathwork facilitator training, you have likely already discovered that the options are many:
There are weekend intensives.
There are online-only certifications.
There are programs that promise professional qualification in a matter of days.
I understand the appeal, especially in today's world and we have the desire to move quickly, to begin serving, to say 'yes' to the call without waiting.
But I want to speak honestly with you today, as someone who has trained in multiple modalities, who has walked this path for years, and who has chosen, very deliberately, to become part of the Seven Directions Breathwork training team after THREE very highly recognized certifications in this modality.
Not all breathwork trainings are equal.
And when you are learning to hold space for another human being's nervous system, their trauma and their deepest opening, that difference matters enormously.
Here is what sets this training apart:
The Depth of the Curriculum: Our training is 400+ hours over 12 months. It is GPBA ( Global Professional Breathwork Alliance) accredited, which means it meets the highest internationally recognized standards for ethics, content, and practicum requirements. You are not receiving a certificate at the end of a weekend, you are receiving a comprehensive, rigorous education in the art and science of holding sacred space.
The Calibre of the Faculty: This is where I get super excited too! You will learn functional breath science with Patrick McKeown, founder of Oxygen Advantage. You will study the psychology of trauma with Jennifer McKeever. You will explore nervous system awareness with Founder Steph Megenta, the Wheel of Consent, ethics and boundaries, diversity and inclusivity, and the Seven Grandfather Teachings all taught by a recognized expert in their field. This is not one teacher's perspective. It is a full spectrum of wisdom in service of your becoming.
The Sacred woven through the Science: What I love most about Seven Directions is that it does not separate the mystical from the practical. We weave in Ceremony, ritual, and ancestral lineage are throughout this training, not as an afterthought, but as a foundation for you personally, and you get to decide if that inspires you to go deeper into a personal practice. You will graduate as a facilitator who understands both the science of the breath and the sacredness of the space you are holding.
The Personal Transformation built into the Process: This training is as much about your own becoming as it is about learning to hold space for others. The Presence Process journey, your personal breathwork practice, your mentorship relationship are key factors in this year of becoming. These are not extras; they are the heart of what shapes you into a facilitator who can truly serve.
The Community and Ongoing Support. When you graduate, you do not graduate alone. You become part of a global network of Seven Directions alumni and our Divine Roots community that continues to grow, collaborate, and co-create together here in North America and across the world. Graduates have access to ongoing monthly supervisory calls with the Founder and your global colleagues to support you on your growth.
I am proud to be building this branch.
I am proud of every facilitator who has walked through this training and gone on to hold space with integrity, depth, and devotion.
